The past 3 months have been quite surreal for the entire world let alone the hospitality industry. There was uncertainty with what would happen to our industry with the effects of the Corona Virus, but as states began to reopen, hotels did as well. This was the first AC Hotel we’ve shot since coming back and we’re keeping our heads high in hopes that the United States is able to control the pandemic and move back to normal society.
So the AC Hotel Little Rock is nestled in the heart of downtown Little Rock only 10 minutes from the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport. The building was really impressive being that it was built in 1923 and maintained some of it’s original features. Original slate tiles, subway tiles and stone details were cleaned and refreshed to perfection. Walking through the front doors, you are greeted with a traditional AC styled open space lobby lined with tile, stone and wood. Turn left and you approach the clean lined AC Lounge where their sought out Gin & Tonic is waiting for you. This is a lovely cocktail and the start of it, is the star anise garnish. It’s a star shaped herb, that actually aides in digestive tract issues. Who would’ve thought, drinking could be so beneficial!
If you plan on coming to Little Rock for business, book their private 8 person media salon room located on the first floor.
As an experienced AC Hotel traveler, you know what to expect when you set your bags down after a long day on the road. Clean lines, airy rooms and cold water bottles in your refrigerator. I’m a big fan of their bath amenities, Korres, a Greek apothecary features natural products. The Korres line includes citrus fresh body milk, aloe and pro-vitamin B5 shampoo and conditioner, a citrus fresh shower gel, and milk soap. The AC Hotel Little Rock did not disappoint in all room categories.
